Receipes Idea's -Stress busting

I was sent home from work yesterday with stress. Now I'm not asking for medical advice - I'm seeing the doc on Monday for that, & I know what caused it & why 'chemically' I feel the way I do right now, But having read through my 'Healing Foods- a practical guide to key foods for good health by Miraim Polunin'! I now have a list of foods which may help but I just dont have a clue how to use to the best IYSWIM

so the list goes;
Liver, wheatgerm, green leafy veg, peas, shellfish, game, oily fish, nuts & seeds.
Bananas
Oats:rolleyes:

Any receipe ideas to inc as many as poss from the above for my Friday night(usually take-away) maybe Saturday shop? I am on a budget so Lobster as the shellfish etc isnt quite what I need - any help would be lovely!:A

Sainsburys have had half price offers on frozen prawns recently - they count as shell fish don't they?

I'm planning a prawn and pea pilau next week - can look up the recipe if you want it?

The recipe index has a nice low fat banana loaf - I add raisins to it too and you could easily add something like walnuts to it?

& I will check for banana loaf tho I got the impression I'm supposed to eat them in pairs raw :o

Liver, ( as it says, loads of recipes for this very cheap meat!)
wheatgerm, ( you can sprinkle this on cereal in the mornings)
green leafy veg ( wilt some spinach for with fih maybe? )
, peas, ( in anything, roasts, pea soups, stews, bagers & mash etc!)
shellfish, ( prawns, langoustines (sp) they are thpought to be relitavely cheap?)
game, ( venison is always reduced in my local supermarket, very nice it is too, albiet "dark")
oily fish, ( im no use here)
nuts & seeds. - granary bread, museli, cashew nuts in stirfries? nuts in cakes ( drool)
Bananas ( banana loaf cake, smoothies etc)
    Oats ( flapjacks!!!!!)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

    Make bread.

    By hand.

Imagine the dough is the head of whoever's been stressing you out most...

..I'll let you work out the rest for yourself :)

I'm not kidding - it's a great stress reliever. Honest.

Yes it uses basmati rice, mild curry paste (it says korma but I'm going to use whichever jar is already in my fridge) peas, 150g prawns (for 4 servings) um and I'll post the rest later on this evening (after I've cooked it :D).

Isn't it a great book? I've had it for a few years and I'm always lending it to people at work etc.

Just found it on the BBC website. It was in my 101 One Pot meals by Good Food.
