I have started expanding my little small holding and this summer I had a massive glut heihc I've urged into jams and chutneys as well as stocking up my freezer.
Does anyone know the legal requirements or point me in the direction of criteria I need to fulfill to be legally able to sell from my doorstep.
I keep chickens and already know how I'm covered to sell my eggs but I'm finding it hard to pinpoint what I need to do for homegrown fruit and veg, and jams, chutneys etc. All homegrown food is from my garden and not from an allotment.
I'll also be selling homemade crafty items. And plants come next spring.
I've tried googling it but it's not very clear cut.
Apologises if this is posted in the wrong place!
I really do hope someone can help

I can't tell you much, but you should check your tenancy agreement if you rent to make sure it doesn't prevent you from selling. If you own, check there aren't any covenants on the property of a similar nature.0

Hi,
Thanks for the comment, I've already checked this as we do rent but from the military and I know this is allowed.
Fingers crossed someone else can help!Cabot (0%) left to pay £2455 let the overpayments commence!0 -
I would have thought that your local council would be the people to speak to, I don't know if you'd need EHO check to check that you aren't using banned pesticides.
The LA will also be able to tell you whether you need a license to trade.0
