I would recommend the Morphy Richards 6litre as I have just bought one and it comes with a small recipe book.
I bought a book specially and wish I had not bothered as it is very American and I got better ideas from the slow cooker recipe thread."This site is addictive!"

There are English slow cooker recipe books, but I havent bought one as yet. Would also like to know if any of them are any good. I prefer to use internet recipes, but I also love cookery books and will be asking for one for my birthday present.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Slow Cooking Properly Explained is a very good one for the beginner, nothing too complicated in there.

The best recipes are on this site - definately! I bought Slow Cooking Properly Explained . . . and haven't really used it! Also spent AGES in Waterstones looking at the other slow cooker books but didn't buy any
. Have used many of the recipes on here - much better by far :j

Or you could browse all the recipe websites (just put crockpot or slow cooker into google) and print off those that look interesting. Buy a ring binder and a pack of edge-punched plastic folders, and make your own recipe book!
(Tip - copy and save them into Word or Notepad until you have a page full, then print off - saves paper and wasted space!). :beer:I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Good thinking, and I guess there's always that old fashioned thing called a library that I could use.
I quite like a recipe site called https://www.recipezaar.com
The majority of contributors are american but you do get a fair few brits on there, I have a few recipes on there myself.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

I think most will come as a guide on how to use them..Experiment
Then after that it's really up to you, as you are slow cooking you can't go far wrong as things have time to mellow and blend.0 -
I must admit I have toyed with the idea of getting one for a while. If I make a casserole I always cook it low for at least three hours in the oven. However, in my new thrifty ways I am going to have to wait until the 19th to order it, as that is the cutoff for my cc!£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
