I can't believe you are on that kind of money and can't work it out yourself, I hope you aren't a maths teacher.:A0

£38,000 for a whole year
12 months in a year
Pro rata means that what you are paid is proportionate to the whole.
So I think if you divide 38,000 by 12 months you should find your monthly pay in pounds. If you can't work it out . . .
Post #2 tells you how to calculate what you would earn for the entire length of your 4-month contract.0 -
Erm, it depends on how many hours a week you are working. The £38k is the wage for a full time position (usually 37.5 hours per week). Am assuming that you are going to be working in a part time position so it will be a percentage of that based on how many hours you will be working each week, eg if you are only working 20hrs a week you would be on £20.25k. Obviously for your monthly wage divide by 12 for the pre tax amount.0

Do the following sum:-
If the number of hours you're working per week = a,
and the number of full time hours per week = b, then
a ÷ b x 38000 = your annual salary.
You can divide the result by 12 to get your monthly salary.Don't mess with pensioners. :cool:0 -

Bit harsh of number but got to admit doing a job earning that kind of money and you can not work something simple out like that does not sound like they are going to get a good bargin, hopefully problem solving skills are not required0
