Where did that come from? I hadn't even replied since your last post......“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

what is the correct procedure for driving on snow and ice in normal traffic conditions??
I'd suggest the correct procedure would be, to adjust one's speed and position to reflect the prevailing road, traffic and weather condition's....
If the weather is cold, expect the possibility of a skid....
and the best way to control a skid is ...not to do anything that could initiate one in the first place.
But if it occurs, then it should come as no surprise, and should be dealt with comfortably.
But then, you all know that, don't you?No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
^^ Don't panic brake and don't over compensate for the slide..... This will see you through most ice/snow situations.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

It was a joke chap, in my imagination but I guess with all this footage you take of your driving escapades it's only a matter of time :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

Thus it took me even more by surprise...... Instinct kicked in though, caught the slide, fish tailed a little and got it straight again. It wasn't until 30 seconds later that I thought "sh*t, that was quite scary".
Well Strider has let us down.
He's put up his video. It's him driving down a road, not even tailgating, as to fishtailing and getting it straight again, I didn't blink but I missed it. Can't even say it was scary enough to slow him down, as the car if front doesn't move away.
(Maybe you need to annotate it for us)
He's got a second one up as well, he's overtaking without tailgating, or forcing anyone else over, not even on a blind bend.
He does have a pop at Ford drivers though, but saying as he hates everyone, even that's not extreme.
Come on, let's have the one of the motorist sideways in front slamming on on the black ice that started this thread off.0 -
I skidded on some black ice the night before last, luckily I was on foot and my greyhound who has 4 paw drive pulled me out of it. Sorry I didn't get a video as it would have been a lot more interesting than strider's.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett
