Problem in that instance was the car in front didn't find the ice patch, but due to an oncoming car I was forced over just a few more inches and did hit the ice. Thus it took me even more by surprise...... Instinct kicked in though, caught the slide, fish tailed a little and got it straight again. It wasn't until 30 seconds later that I thought "sh*t, that was quite scary".

Lucky you were in a fwd then.

Mr Turner sir, I'd like to hear your view on this?, what is the correct procedure for driving on snow and ice in normal traffic conditions??

Said it before, say it again... I have a dash cam too and rarely catch anything interesting because I drive competently. Your videos prove you don't.

I didn't say it was anything interesting...... Car hits black ice, car loses grip, driver reacts, car goes back in straight line. I'm not sure what you think your getting at???

The only thing to do differently is to completely avoid said road until a) the temp increases or b) they send the gritters down there (which they won't do as it's only a narrow rural B road).

My video's have been analysed and often misinterpreted, with the addition of fiction elements that were not even present within the video itself, a lot of assumptions based on no evidence at all...... Well I blame the UFO that flew overhead, you can't see it, but it's there because I say it's there and you can't prove its not.

Won't be much to see other than a car 20m ahead of slamming on the brakes and getting it a bit sideways just as I myself hit that ice patch, with me screaming "don't brake you idiot!!!".

It wouldn't really make for exciting entertainment and is a waste of 30mins of my life cutting and editing a video.

Maybe the true skill is spotting it before.

No, the true skill is not driving like a plank, but keeping your distance from the car in front.

Styder, you still got that dash cam footage of you reversing away from that big bloke trying to perform a rectal examination on you with a wheel brace??
