Avoiding NRAM MEAF fees

Hi,
Im remortgaging and leaving NRAM. I am due to pay a £250 MEAF fee, is there any way i can avoid this or pay it and reclaim it. Ive read about unfair charges, but this seems to relate mainly to lenders charging more than the key facts states. This does not apply to me, but i also read that these fees should only be the cost of administration to end a mortgage which should be about £50. Does anyone have any experiece of reclaiming or avoiding these fees with NRAM?
Thanks
Carl
