Funny how some suddenly don't like peston and the BBC ;)

This is the same as anything else. We prefer to watch or take note of something that aligns to our thoughts. It's true though what Dervprof stated. The BBC certainly sat on the rosy side of the camp up until a few months back. Maybe they don't want to be caught out looking silly?

I don't have to like Peston or Flanders to enjoy their articles or programs. Sometimes their BBC blogs strike a chord with me, other times not.

Even the Nick Robinson series 'How they spend your money' was thought provoking.

    Interesting viewing.

So it seems we have been conned into believing spending more is being richer and expensive houses mean you are wealthier.

So inversely ,overpaying a mortgage just means you are clearing a debt and not building up an asset ?

I look forward to watching this.

We will find a way forward when we have an answer this:

Didn't high British housing get a mention for being part of the problem? I wonder why thr bulls always blame just the US housing market.

I recorded the programme, and I've just watched it. There was nothing in there that I did not know, but I very much look forward to next week's episode, which I hope is not just going to confirm my extremely pessimistic views about the dire outlook for the next 10 years.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
