Cv problems

Hi Guys

I have been having major problems with employer over paysilps and PAYE see my post paysilps urgent.

I now have to look for another job ASAP I am doing my CV is it wise to put my current job that I am having PAYE problems with on my CV.

I might end up getting sacked when my employer finds out that I called the tax office or might just leave so I am very unsure about putting my current job on my CV.

Well, unless you want to pretend to have been unemployed for these last few months, you will need to have something to cover the time.

There have been threads recently where people had not included all their jobs in their job applications and were now having to explain why. This would be more of a problem with application forms that specifically asked for the most recent employer compared with not disclosing on a CV - but could still present a problem.

You don't have to actually name your current employer on your CV - you could just mention the kind - eg "small private company in the horticultural business" or "retailer" and the location (town, not full address).

I am going to say I took a career break and kept my skills updated during that period of time.

Surely a deliberate lie on the CV such as you suggest would be as bad as other forms of lying on your CV?

if you put them on you'll be asked why you're looking to leave (during interviews), or why you left. So you'll at least have a valid reason for leaving rather than having a gap on your CV and hoping it doesn't bit you in the arse at some point.

A career break is not a lie because I was on a career break before I got my current job that I have only been employed in for seven weeks. I did keep my skills up to date because I attended a training course during my career break and have proof of this.

So I am just not including my current job that I have been employed in for only seven weeks because the problems that I am having at this job are so serious it will cause me to lose jobs if I mention it on my CV.
