I've found many web sites that sale last seasons charms, but before I buy I like to check up on the sites as something at a good bargain is it to good to be true.

I'd be a bit wary to be honest. found this on a website about recognising genuine thomas sabo sites. However, i note on the site that one charm originally retailed at £588 and is now selling at £30.99. Doubt you'd ever get that kind of discount.

This one’s a bit technical, but it’s a great, quick way of checking the authenticity of a website claiming to sell Thomas Sabo. Official online stockists have all agreed with Thomas Sabo not to use the designer’s name in the main part of their web address. That means they won’t ever use the designer’s name between the ‘www’ and the ‘.com’ or ‘.co.uk’ part of their web address. The only valid exception to the rule is Thomas Sabo’s own, official website, easily recognisable as www.thomassabo.com. Some examples may help here.

• One website appearing to sell genuine Thomas Sabo jewellery at the time of writing is https://www.thomassabostore.uk.com. We can quickly recognise that this company is not an official stockist, since they’ve used the designer’s name in the main part of their web address. This helps their website appear high up in Google’s search results, but also helps us recognise them as selling fake Thomas Sabo jewellery.
• Websites selling official Thomas Sabo charms and jewellery will usually use the designer’s name in their web address after the ‘.com’ or ‘.co.uk’, which is perfectly OK. I am sooooo annoyed at myself!!!! Today I ordered from a site called thomas sabo charm .uk . com I looked all over the site and read the following statement at the bottom of the page over and over and decided that they must be genuine.

I placed an order for £65 and a little later decided after looking on the forums here to investigate further. In the disclaimer it actually reads

Surely they are not allowed to do this, its a complete contradiction of the earlier statement. There is no address for the company and no blimmin phone number. I have had to submit a 'ticket' asking them to cancel and refund my order but no doubt they will eventually come back to me and say that it is to late to cancel and the order has been shipped.

I am sooooo stupid I could scream!Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!



Is there anywhere that I could report them to ? Has anyone else ordered from this company?

This is a Chinese website which means that everything they sell will be counterfeit. They may not even send you anything and then just keep the money.

The disclaimer on the website is a load of old tosh because the images and the Thomas Sabo banner have been stolen from other reputable websites selling the genuine article. If they were really honest about selling replicas they'd have said so in big letters on their home page wouldn't they?

I would suggest that you scan your computer with your anti virus because this scam website also hosts Cnzz.com which engages in browser and operating system exploits.

It's a waste of time reporting them. There are hundreds of thousands of Chinese websites and virtually all of them sell counterfeit goods and/or credit card scams and/or just plain stealing.

What you need to do in the future is:
1. Get the browser add-on Web of Trust which colour codes websites based on a number of criteria including trustworthiness. Chinese websites tend not to have received a rating because hundreds are created every day but that's a giveaway as well.
