yeh, £674 is a lot of money

But compare it to play.com's pre order and lx direct pre order deals and consider that you are getting a Playstation portable and two top games.

Compare it to what some people will end up paying on ebay. It's a pre-order for a console launch, of course it's expensive.

IMO it's the best pre order deal from a company of HMV's size that I've seen so far (should you be wanting a PSP )

Also remeber that the PSP will act a contoller with the PS3. And some games will use the screen of the PSP for extra info.

I believe that the F1 game will use it as the rear view mirror or map of the track.

given that

1. this is a limited offer (see HMV's site)
2. the play.com PS3 pre order (bad value IMO) stayed in grabbit
3. the ongoing wii saga stayed in quick grabbit - even for overpriced bundles

This has to be one of the worst offers I have ever seen and HMV have a cheek to say that this is the only way to guarentee a launch console if you buy their overpriced package
