Last year a relative signed up for Airtricity two year contract .
Now the relative has died and I have inherited the house .
Can airtricity insist I complete the two year contract or even a new two year contract ,I would prefer to move the account to budget until I decided what to do with the house but want to wind up the old account .

I'm sure you'll have to check the terms and conditions but I would think the contract would be between your relative and airtricity, therefore if you write to them with a copy of the death certificate they would terminate the contract.

I'm sure someone who knows for sure will be along today, sorry for your loss
