Has anyone got there order yet. Just got this e-mail from them
'Dear
I'm sorry to inform you that we can't deliver the item you ordered from boots.com (order number S002WW-2
9).
Unfortunately, when your order reached the warehouse, the product was not available. As we can't guarantee when it will come
back into stock, we have had to cancel your order. You've not been charged.
I would like to offer you the promotional code of ZAMB88, which will give you a discount of £5 when you spend £5 or more on one future order placed on boots.com. This code is
valid until the end of 31/03/05.
This code can only be used once and cannot be used in conjunction with certain other offers and can only be used once. Your spend excludes gift boxing and delivery charges, Gift Cards, Boots Insurance, infant formula
and purchases from #Other shops# on Boots.com.
I apologise again for any inconvenience you have been caused.'
Can they do this?? Should they not at least offer me a silver or green ipod??
Thanks0 -
Might be better to continue on the original thread:

They can do it yes, unless they have taken the money out of your bank account, until then they have sgreed to no sale0

As Charlie said this should been discussed in the original thread and not a new thread opened. I am sure a moderator will merge it in due course
No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you0 -
Did they send you a confirmatory email saying that they had accepted your order? If so then my shaky understanding of the law is they had accepted your "invitation to treat" and that a contract is in place.
On the other hand, if they hadn't confirmed acceptance of your order then their advertised price and your subsequent offer to pay that price for the iPod means nothing.

Well I was really hacked off to get an email from Boots today. I'd ordered 2 mini ipods & they were cancelling one due to lack of stock......I was gutted.
Then I looked at the invoice & it was for only £74.99......they'd kept the 20% discount off both ipods...a total of £50 instead of £25!
I'm happy now...an ipod for £74.99 delivered!!!0 -
I havent received an email to tell me .. but my account states that my order has been dispatched... ( I ordered 2
) Be nice0 -
One silver left this morning - now reduced to £125, and with the code is £99.0
