It's pretty easy to get into really.
1 - decide if he wants to go self employed or use an umbrella company.
Self employed gives you more control of what happens with your money. an umbrella company does everything for you but they charge about £25 a wage / invoice to do it. You get all the tax benefits from either, ie claiming for lunches and 45p a mile on petrol etc which gives you a higher take home.
2 - then you just use one of the job sites such as www.jobserve.com and filter for contract jobs in your area. Then just apply online; with them being short term rather than permanent the whole process is a lot faster and sometimes you don't even need an interview.
First line isn't great but it gets the experience on the CV and introduces starters to Active Directory, remote access tools etc...0 -
Sadly he has just gained a level 3 in customer service via work, I told him not to do it as he wouldn't be able to get another one for free, unless I am wrong?
.
No, you're absolutely right, wasting your entitlement on something as comparatively useless as customer care is a real shame.0
