Help, tried paying my mortgage over the phone over a week ago and the mortgage company have not heard of me. After 11 years they suddenly have no record. Mortgage overdue and I've not heard a thing, normally have received numerous phone call and letters. Have I been deleted??

Yes. You no longer exist. You are a hologram of your former self.Help, tried paying my mortgage over the phone over a week ago and the mortgage company have not heard of me. Who is the lender? How do you usually pay? Did you quote them your mortgage reference details?0 -
If somehow your details have been erased from the lenders on line records, they will still have a registered 1st charge with land registry - getting their permission to remove this on any future sale, may stir a few investigations as to why its on in the first place. (unless of course you went down the line that the mge had been redeemed, after all they would have no records to check this against).
Seriously, I woudln't get my hopes up too much just yet, and would suggest you continue to put away each month into a separate account, your normal mge payment - that way if you do "re-appear" on their system (which may well happen) and they seek the os/uncollected mge payments, you will have them readily to hand.
Hope this helps

Indeed as what Holly said, keep those monthly mortgage payments safe because they WILL come for them...
I personally would in the meantime write a letter to them outlining what you have discussed and ask them to confirm in writing that they no longer have an interest in your property and that they will remove the charge, and again confirm in writing when they have done so... that will make them find your records...ORIGINAL MORTGAGE AMOUNT £106,454.00 (Started Sept 2007)

More than that OP needs to write, as hillcats suggests, and keep a copy.holly_hobby wrote: »...

This account is most likely still live on some part of their system and as we debate here, probably poised to put defaults on OP's credit records. A letter from OP now - and keeping a copy - will be invaluable when it comes to undoing the damage.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Have you checked Experian et al to see what has been reported on your file0

This simply looks like some sort of glitch, I would chase them again, just another thought, as you say the mortgage is overdue, has it been passed to another department?I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
