Hi
Hope you don't mind me butting in, your title with the emphasis on 'positive' caught my eye as I have been hanging around this site for a good year or 2 checked in now and again, made a few comments, signed up for a few challenges etc but never really got to grips with all things money saving so hoping this year is my year to crack the whip! But I digress - just wanted to say on the subject of moving in with parents I would advise not too if you can help it - whilst the idea is nice the practicalities much harder - my mum is currently living in my dining room as she lives in a luxury caravan in season (now is out of season obviously) and rents out her house so she had nowhere to live this Winter - she is here under the premis of helping out with the kids, helping me get the house straight and helping with the DIY, cooking etc - sounds great and in lots of ways it is, house far tidier and more organised, kids loving having Nanny about but its far harder to live with parents 2nd time around - after years of being out from under their wing - think we have both remembered what we didn't like about each others personalities anyway and although we are getting on with the DIY etc she is like a Sergeant Major around the place! Wanting to do things when I don't, re-orgnaising my stuff, and generally upsetting our routines, me and partner are arguing more cos her being here helping me is making me question what he does (or doesn't) - kids constantly wound up and partner doing alot of teeth gritting and this is a parent we do actually get on with - its an experience I can tell you ;-)0 -

It wasn't too bad but bad for me
but it feels lovely and fresh now
