also can i just say if cam is 3 in march his 3 year old funded hours wont start till september as its always the term after they turn 3

Lurker here - if hidden identity's little boy is 3 in march, then his funded hours will start at the beginning of term 5 - middle of April.

In our local authority, the cut off dates are 31st December, march and then august.

    Hth

yes I have to pay the full amount for DH to be in nursery in December, march, June through to August. It is a private nursery that opens all day and all through the holidays, but DS gets some funding, just not all year round. Nurseries are expensive.
  • Nurseys something I will have to consider obviously its £35 a day each  or £25 for half day each (even if they arent in the full half day thats the least you pay) Im sure it would be worth it in the long run I cant sit at home forever lol x

mine is £45 a day but they are open from 7.45 to 6pm and they get breakfast, lunch, tea, and snacks like fruit at 9.30am. And lovely days out that we don't have to pay extra for, trips to the library, on the train to local town, etc.

yes, I think for your sanity, it would be nice to have them in nursery, so you can be you, and not just mum.

and like you say, it would be nice to be earning your own money.
