  • Why not order online from a store in the US? You could try Macys, Target, Walmart.
If they do not accept your credit card as it is UK based you can often pay by paypal.
  • can you not buy something from a US website and get it sent straight there, that might cut down on post costs a little. I dont have any ideas on house warming gifts though

  • You can order from amazon in the us an get it sent directly, as a gift, which means there will be no price on the documents. They even have a guft wrapping option.

I have done that with Amazon - just be sure to use the .com website so you don't end up paying for postage from here. Postage within the US is free for many items, similar to the way Amazon works here.

We are going to the US for Christmas, so have sent all the pressies for OH's little cousins to their gran's house using amazon.com, so when we arrive we just need to wrap them.

Also, the selection on the US site is a little different to the UK site, so that is something to be aware of if you are looking for something specific. A kiddy book that cost a few quid on the UK site isn't marketed in the States, so would have cost $90ish SECONDHAND on the .com site!

Can you order from the US Amazon in this country? I did try but it wouldn't let me do it because I was in a different country. My DD lives in the US and she has seen an espresso machine that she likes on Amazon.com and I wanted to buy it for her for Christmas.I was going to send her the money via Paypal, but it would be easier if I could order the machine myself to be delivered directly to her address.
  • You can't get stuff delivered here, but you can get it delivered in the US. Or at least you could in February.

If her address is in the US, then yes you can - I have done it, see my previous post. If not, then probably not.
