Goodbye FirstPlus

God,
I'm so excited. I've paid off my account with FirstPlus, so no more secured debt, or mortgage for me.
I had a heart attack in 2007 and rang them up, they agreed a 6 month payment holiday, and that was that.
After 6 months they started hassling me saying I was in 6 months arrears, and threatening re-possesion etc. I scraped the money together and paid the "arrears" off, BUT they never took me out of account management ! I only found out this year that I was down as a default with experian !
I contacted them for a settlement figure in September, as I was thinking of taking voluntary redundancy this year, but it came back as way too much to pay (about £50k  ).
They must have then twigged then, that I shouldnt be in acc/man with them, as I got a letter this week offering to close the account for an agreed figure. They said my balance was £28k and I offered them £22k which they have accepted.
