really ? I didnt know that could happen, yes let us know what happens, its interesting to know what powers the CSA have and how far they will go to enforce them.kelloggs36 wrote:Me too - 25k infact. I understand re: the coments regarding phoning the agency ( not from you ) but mail is just as likely to go missing, whether via Royal Mail or more likely departmentally so beware here too!! At least telephone calls should be logged on the system ( automatically) when incoming although it cannot be logged what was actually discussed on the phone ~ but this should be backed up by paperwork in your file.

The CSA has powers that many people don't know about. They can apply to the Court for an Order for Sale of somebody's property if they have obtained charging orders on it. In my case there are 3 already and a fourth in the pipeline. It could render my NRP homeless which in my mind is his own fault as he could easily have avoided it. Certain factors have to be taken into consideration first, and it is a long drawn out process but it can be done if they have the will do to it - up to now they refused on the grounds that it may lead to negative publicity for them, but it has backfired as the lack of enforcement has rendered it useless in itself - they should have had more regard to enforcement for those refusing to pay - got tough in the first place and they wouldn't be in the mess they are now if they had done this.
My ex had a suspended sentence dished out 2 years ago for failing to pay his maintenance and he actually complied to the orders made by the Court for a year, but over a year ago, he breached that order and thus he has been summonsed back again to answer why he has refused to continue to make payments. Because he failed to attend, the Court issued the warrant as he is legally obliged to attend. As they can't trust him not to abscond again, they have issued the warrant without bail. So as soon as he is arrested, he is put in a cell until the next day when a hearing will take place. Don't know how long it will take to execute but as it is a Court Warrant and not a police one, there is a high chance that it will be done quicker. The police tend to sit on them as they are considered a low priority.0
