Well JJ, "affordability" is a spurious measure.
It operates on only a short term basis, and becomes completely
unviable when interest rates rise.
Its a very silly boy indeed who would make reference to "affordability" in the wake of the bubble fueled by just such bogus assesments.
Whereas, rather obviously I must say, buying a house at fair value better ensures that you can "afford" mortgage payments in the long term.
