the quicker the better!??

My husband earns £31,000 and im a stay at home mother.

We have a mortgage of £61,000.

We have no other debts.

How long would it take YOU to pay off this mortgage?

  • That's beside the point. Everyone has different expenses, so how long it would take me is not a useful indicator as to how it would take you.
  • thanks for the reply, sorry, should probably have been a bit more specific !!

Perhaps a better approach is for you guys to have a browse through some of the diaries - there seem to have been quite a few similar groups of people drawing encouragement from each other - teachers, IT techie folk etc.

Is there anything in particular motivating you to want to pay it off?
Have you thought about doing an SOA to see what you could pay off comfortably?

    Good luck with your plans.

Sorry, didn't meant to be flippant. :o

Can you tell us a bit more about your circumstances, and I'm sure there are plenty of nice people on here who will.

    Good luck.
