Many jobs in the private sector are 3 months, (including my own which has been for years) so giving 2 months notice is not a barrier for many.0

I wouldn't say 2 months notice would be too much of a problem - I had 3 months in my last job and 3 months in my next one. I definately wouldn't resign in the current climate - it will also make it harder to negiotiate on pay. I took voluntary redundancy from the public sector in the middle of the year and have now managed to get another job in banking with matched pay and pension but you aren't in a strong negiotating position.
Depends a bit what you taught what the options would be. I'ld say either a job in some way related to children, training or in some way related to your subject. Public sector would have been an obvious one but in the current climate its pretty much impossible. Indeed.com is very good for sending you opportunities. Hope you find something.0
