sainsburys - what do they price match

Hi. Im after a electric shaver for my hubby for christmas. I have noticed that they are cheaper in argos, i was wondering if they will price match against this ad i have some vouchers i could use aswell.

    Categories not included in Sainsbury's Brand Match

    1. Products in the following categories are not included in Sainsbury's Brand Match:
      • all electrical items including electrical health and beauty e.g. hair straighteners, electric toothbrushes, hair dryers,
      • batteries,
      • home ware e.g. Cookshop, crockery, cutlery, glassware,
      • kitchen plastics e.g. Tupperware boxes,
      • greetings cards
      • BBQ and picnic accessories,
      • home furnishings e.g. bedding, cushions, lighting, garden products and furniture,
      • entertainment e.g. CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, computer games, books,
      • hardware e.g. car care, DIY, cycle accessories,
      • sports equipment,
      • clothing including socks and hosiery,
      • items from the kiosk including tobacco and cigarettes,
      • jewellery,
      • prescription medicines from the Pharmacy, non medicine items bought from the Pharmacy such as diabetes and blood pressure kits, travel plugs, travel irons,
      • reading glasses and sunglasses,
      • fuel,
      • photo-processing,
      • in store concessions (e.g. Clarks),
      • items bought in the caf!,
      • mobile phones and e top up cards,
      • ink cartridges,
      • toys
      • luggage,
      • stationery
    There is your answer. But if you do have any brand match coupons, you can redeem them with buying the shaver. Plus the Brand Match is only against Tesco and Sainsburys

    the brand match also includes asda too. The brand match only includes grocery items eg ceral, coffee etc.
  • Not much use then, as cynically as well as the huge exclusion list they don't match for on-line shopping - Asda do but they are totally inept at providing it.

    Well it is in the t&c's, like ive said before it might come to internet deliveries in the future but depends if its kept on altogether.

    Just discovered this thread in a search. I'm after a bottle of Drambuie for a present and notice on a comparison site that it's currently £23.99 in Sainsbury's but £19.99 in Tesco. Not been in Sainsbury's for a while - does anyone know if they still price match ? I have some vouchers to spend in Sainsbury's so would prefer to get it from there for the Tesco price if poss.

    Yes, the price match is still on. You do know it's brand match, not price match though? You'll get a £4 voucher to spend in Sainsbury's.
