Been a while since I posted on here. But here's the update, I did have a chat with the guys at wonga, I explained my situation and they have been very helpful. They have froze the interest and have set up a plan, £136 for 12months, which is fine by me. Well I would've liked it to be lower but this way I know it'll be gone.
One down many more hurdles to cross!
Many thanks to the advice given, cheers!!0 -
Do Not be afraid to contact wonga but get advice from a financial advisor or citizens advice before you do- I work in community services and we have members of the community come in asking advice about these loans all the time . These loan companies are a disgrace and feed of people like you as they know you need the money
I would advise that you contact your local citizens Advice Bureau or local Community money and debt managment centre - Or if you visit your local social security office they might point you in the right direction but dont try to do this yourself get advice locally. You might get emails and txts from firms offering to help you but stick to the CAB as some of these firms offering to help you can be just as bad. so stick to the CAB.
The CAB will write a letter on your behalf and will advise you on what to do so dont be embarrased or afraid to speak to them they are there to help you and they really will they are fantastic. They will try and get the interest reduced and set up an affordable payment plan, a plan where you are actually paying off the loan and not just interest and charges.
I really sympathise with you and know how easy it is to get into these situations especially with xmas and the demand it has on us financially but please don't deal with this yourself and don't hide away from the issue as if you bury your head in the sand a small 1k loan will multiply and will get bigger until it really is a massive debt problem .
Once you set up an agreed plan you might every now and again have some months financially better than others where you can get a little more paid off it -
But Please take my advice don't try and work with these firms alone get someone who knows what they are talking about to support you and do not pay anyone to help you thats why i know the CAB is the best form of support as they are set up to help you with these matters and may even strike a deal with WONGA to cut the interest
Don't delay any longer get a meeting set up with the CAB tomorrow and you will feel so much better after you speak to them
Maybe you can start breathing again lol
Good Luck0 -

From your earlier reply i tihnk your incomings dont cover your outgoings, have you looked at whats going in and out ? maybe do a statement of affairs and post on the debt free.0 -
Sparkles did you even bother to read all 12 posts or just the first one? The problem has already been sorted and Vaj7 has entered into a payment plan.
Of course these companies feed off people who need money - that's their business just like any other financial institute offering credit.
It's the people who take out loans at extremely high interest (which isn't disguised) and then can't or don't pay them back who are to blame.
Vaj, congratulations on facing your problem and getting it sorted. Please don't take out any other PDLs from your new account as they all talk to each other and share you payment information.
Good luck with paying it off.
