Debt free wanna be PPI payments

Options
New to this forum, but just want to say a BIG thank you to Martin Lewis. I owed £34,000 in 2006. My partner and I had good jobs, we bought our own home, and then our relationship of 16 years split up.I had to start my life completely again. I was left with massive debts and just sinking under the pressure. Finding this website was a lifeline. I contacted CCCs who have been great in helping me to deal with all the people I owe money to [I have had a DMP since 2006, as I feel I must pay off what I owe]. However, I looked at what I had paid as PPI to all my loans and credit cards and realised it was a massive amount of money. I didn't take out PPI because I wanted to, I took it bcause it was inferred I had to. So I used the template letters and so far I have had £8,500 taken off my debts! I am now have reduced my debts to £7,500, with my CCs payments and the PPI settlements. To all out there who are living this debt nightmare, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Use the templates, use CCCs, it doesn't cost a thing except your time and courage. Good luck and thanks to ML. Bitzer
