My other half bought 6 bottles of half price Rioja today but the discount was 25% of the reduced price, not the original price, or did I read it wrong?

I bought 6 of the gallo white zinfandel on Friday and a couple of other bits, and put my receipt into the tesco price checker hoping to get the JTD back against the £10 offer for 3 at Asda.

Price check email came through and the receipt I entered for my JTD is not the receipt that they have price checked against, it is someone elses shopping!

Has anyone else ever had this? Was thinking about ringing CS to find out what has happened, but can someone advise what number is the best one to call.

    Thanks

The double discount only works on multi buy offers such as 2 for £10, 3 for £12 etc - not if an individual bottle is reduced to half price for example. If it's just say a £9.99 bottle reduced to £4.99, then the 25% would only come off the £4.99 price. However if it was a multibuy then the till can only cope by deducting it from the original price, it's a bit complicated to explain but that is the top and bottom of it.

I am so happy I got 15 bottles today of the 3 for £12 wine, even my OH got excited and he doesnt drink wine and never gets excited about my bargains!!

One lot of wine we bought cost us £20.54 for 9 bottles instead of an original cost of £62.00. A second lot cost us £13.98 and that should have cost us about £45.

I wish I had got more now. So I now have 15 bottles of wine for £34 and they all started off between £.6.29 to £7.99 a bottle
:jHas saved so much money since joining this forum, thanks to all you kind people out there :j
  • Just been to Tescos, bought 6 bottles of Gallo White zinferdal for £6.29 bottle, have done th price checker so hopefully it will match asda 3 for £10, got my 25% off so worked out at 28.30 for 6, fingers crossed I get the pricematch too which would be another 17.74 off i think???

Then put a load of 18 mini bottles through, £38.42, LESS £11.42 FOR 2 FOR £3 DISCOUNT, then 25% off £9.61 = end balance £17.39. Ideal for in hampers.

/then did 3 bottles berberana white on 3 for £12, and another 3 Gallo White zinferdal total £21.28, hopefully should get the price match off of £8.88 whichshould make this 6 mega cheap!!!

Then did another 3 Berberana white, and 3 first cape white all on 3 for £12, PLUS 6 meal deals which attracted the 25% off as well.
Think the staff thought I was mad!!!

Oh and did the price drop coupons too!

Fingers crossed now for price checker!

A word of warning all - I did an online shop at asda yesterday and put 3 white zinfadel in my basket on the three for £10 deal. When I checked out it told me the offer was no longer available! When I went back on the wine deals the zinfandel had been removed from the three for £10 offer.
Some of you may find a problem claiming the JTD so be prepared in case.

are you sure you typed the numbers right?

even if you did it's ok, it happens sometimes...

try to enter the receipt details again... use Internet Explorer if possible and try submit, if it says it's already being processed hit 'back' button and then submit again... do you still see the same 'wrong' shopping?

now... you can try a little trick...

enter the details of your receipt again BUT change one minute of the time of you receipt(+1 or -1), wait for your results to come next day and see if they're the right ones... (you can print the 1st page with details of your shopping as well in case you have trouble with you voucher... but 99% you won't)

if all fails give CS a call...

    hth and good luck! :)

Thanks for your advice czerniacha, I've resubmitted my receipt and it was accepted so will await the pricecheck email tomorrow.

Just checked the Asda website and the white zinfandel is still 3 for £10, so we should all get our JTD back, it is the white grenache that isn't on offer at Asda.
