    Bingo!

Think this may work pretty well:

    074010.jpg

    Unit price= £1.58, (6x £1.58= £9.48)

    Asda 3 for £4
    Tesco 2 for £3

6 bottles at Tesco is £9 but £8 at Asda so another £1 on JTD

This is in addition to the 25% off the original £9.48 (£2.37)

    So potentially:

    £9.48 - 48p (2 for £3 offer)

    £9 - £2.37 (25% off)

    £6.63 - £1 (JTD)

= £5.63 for the 6 bottles. Does that sound right?

J P Chenot Merlot is £2.54 per unit.

    IDShot_225x225.jpg

    £2.54 x6 = £15.24 (25% = £3.81)

6 bottles would only cost £9 after the 2 for £3 offer.

Take away the £3.81 would make it £5.19 for the 6 bottles.

Unit price equal to 86.5p instead of £2.54!!!

One of the wines is £10.99.

I am hoping that 25% of the full price of the 6 bottles kicks in. That would be roughly £16.50 off the price.

The 6x 3 course meals with wine would be reduced to £60 (6x £10)

minus the £16.50 wine discount taking it to £43.50 (rough figures only as using mental math!)

Then take off 2x price drop vouchers (says one per transaction so just one £1 voucher for desserts and one £1 voucher for meals) takes it to around £41.50.

Not bad for nearly a weeks worth of Tesco finest 3 course dinners and a bottle of wine each night!

Or you could look at it as roughly £6.90 each for 6 bottles of wine with 6 FREE 3 course meals thrown in to sweeten the deal. :)

+maybe a pricematch voucher if the wine is cheaper in asda.

I'm pretty sure it compares the wine at full price, before any meal deal or 25% discount has been applied. Well it has done previously.

Tesco finest Cabernet carmenere £8.99 unit price

    6 x £8.99= 53.94 (25%=£13.48)

    2 for £12 offer means 6 bottles = £36

    £36-£13.48=£22.52

£3.75 unit price instead of original £8.99!

    First cape discovery merlot

    Unit price £6.99

    £6.99 x 6 = £41.94 (25%=£10.48!)

    3 for £12 Deal makes it £24

    £23 - £10.48 (25%) =£12.52!

Unit price £2.08 a bottle instead of £6.99!

    Re the 25% off wine.
A few months ago, when the same offer was on, wines that were 2 for £12 or 3 for £12, glitched, because the 25% came off the original bottle price and before the multiple buy kicked in, so there was a super discount when buying 6!:j
I am going to T early morning so will let you know if the same thing is happening again.:)

  • sorry to be a pain :o

should the 25% off wine work on line? or does it have to be 6 of the same wine?

i've got 6 different bottles in my basket and its not showing any multibuy savings?
