I have found out that my company is offering payrises for promotions (after having been told on numerous occasions that they are not giving out any payrises for any reason due to the economic situation). to be honest, we're all getting a serious npaycut in general. The weakening pound has made the cost of goods really expensive. Rip off Britain was always more expensive than out US and European counterparts, but with the weakining pound we're getting a far worse off deal.
