I have not bought from this site yet, but I plan to when I afford it as they look very good quality, not cheap though...

The boots look great and I am sure you could email them about your calf width for advice.0 -
thanks but still too pricey for me0

Have you tried Evans? They do wide-calf boots, and they're not too pricey...0

Hi
Yes tried evans and not big enough either.................
thanks0 -
I don`t think you will find what you want at a cheap price. If Evans nad Shoe Tailor will not fit then I think you would be looking at bespoke boots which would cost a fortune.
The only thing I could suggest is looking on ebay for 2nd hand boots that may have been stretched due to wearing with trousers tucked in and ask the seller to measure the calf for you - a long shot but worth a try.0 -
ONe other MSE suggestion - maybe if you bought some wide calf boots ( 2nd hand from ebay) then had a cobbler to insert an elastic gusset along the inside or back seam of the boots to add extra width. If you have a local cobbler you could discuss this to see if this is possible. Black elastic on black leather boots would be quite unobtrusive and many boots these days are made with similar stretch panels so it would not look out of place.
Or if elastic cannot be sewn in, couple a seam be undone and lace holes added so that you have lace up boots? If done at the back of the leg it could look like a feature and would not show when you sit down. AS long as you have black leggings underneath you may get away with it. Sorry if this sounds naff, just thinking of ways for you to get the boots you want.0 -
How about these:

One of the reviewers who raves about them says she has 50cm calves.0 -

Thanks for all the fab suggestions. have been keeping an eye on ebay for some cheap duos.

What about buying half length boots. It's easier to find ones that will fit a wide leg that way. If you wear long skirts or trousers no-one can see the difference. Think Evans do more that one width of leg. Other option is stretch leg boots but don't think they are that popular just now.0
