If we compare conditions during the price boom between 2000 and 2007 to the current litany of economic challenges, we must accept that it will be a long, hard struggle to regain 2007 levels.
Mention house prices and you are sure to start a lively conversation. With 67% of the population owning their home and with a substantial piece of their savings tied into home ownership, it is no wonder.

Pretty obvious I would have thought that it will be a few years before we regain 2007 price levels. This is because we have had a price crash and are now bumping along the bottom with stagnating nominal price levels. But eventually prices will start to climb an we will surpass the levels of 2007.
A better question might be. Will we ever regain the 'real terms 2007 peak levels'. In fact I think I will start a thread.0 -
