Freezine dill

Options
I have got lots of dill left over. Is it best to chop it up and freeze it or can I freeze it whole?

Also when defrosted, is it limp or can it be used as a garnish?

Comments

  • I chop my dill roughly then freeze it, it does go a bit limper than when fresh but you might still be able to use it as a garnish.

If you put the dill in the freezer whole in a freezer bag and then while it's still frozen, quickly scrunch and roll the bag about it chops it for you :) You can use it whole from frozen but when it thaws it will go limp. Works for rosemary too - ends up a bit uneven but saves so much time!
