  • Ugh! Why is the weather always rubbish on the day I decide to go to Iceland? I didn't do it last week as it was raining on the day I decided to go and yep, today it's wet and windy. Got to go today as my mum is going to be here which will make it much easier as she'll be able to push the pushchair instead of me trying to push a pushchair and trolley round the shop (it's not the kind of area that I could leave the pushchair safely outside, even locked up).

    Morning!!

Well so far so good, have 4 days under my belt:D, should have been 5 but hunger struck and gladly paid to get the cat neutered. So its all good so far. the bank balance is looking okay, still ijhn the black but more than we had last month :j.
It probably won't last that long but hey ho 8 days into December and its okay.

Absolutely freezing today so my plan is staying in for as long as possible. Only problem is that means tidying up

Well, just been sent home from work due to the (increasing minute by minute) gale force winds. It's a bit scary and I have never ever been sent home from work before because of the wind!!!!

Bonus is that it means it will be a NSD as I am in the house with my DD's and we aren't going anywhere .......unless the house picks up and blows to the Merry Old Land of Oz :rotfl:

So NSD #4 for me please. :)

  • If I know I have a long day, I make sure I have some of that posh filled pasta in the freezer and take it out to defrost before I go to work. Tonight I had pasta filled with sausage, chilli and chianti and it only took three minutes to cook when I got home :)

I will do that next time. :o

Can report another NSD for yesterday - takes me up to 6!

Had a busy morning today - WW- I lost another half pound, that's a nice round 2 stone off! Thrilled!th_Santa-dance1.gif

Then it was A$da for weekly shop (doesnt count for NSD purposes) and also some Christmas presents (also doesnt count as paid for with savings card, just about finished my Xmas shopping, only have OH to get!)
Also posted fleabay items ( doesnt count), chemist for prescription ( free) and library( also free)

Ooh, er, I think I may have captured another by accident! -that'll be 7 then!

Not going anywhere now as it is so windy here I nearly got blown over when was out with doglet!th_storm.gif

Stay safe everyone and have a lovely day!th_santa-1.gif

Well today has turned into an unexpected nsd (although only postponing it until tomorrow) as I decided it was too windy to go out today. WOuld have been fine getting there as the wind would have pushed us along but gettign home would have been a battle. They don't give it for tomorrow (not that they gave wind for today down here) so fingers crossed I'll be able to go tomorrow but I'll have my pushchair/trolley battle unfortunately.

Good luck all of you up in Scotland battling with the wind, I should probably stop moaning, it's probably a light breeze here compared to what it sounds like you all have up there. :D

Oops, forgot to post my total: 4/7 Hooray over half way there!

  • No NSD for me as I got some of those reindeer antler headbands for xmas dinner wear :D I am doing my own 'crackers' with scratch card, own joke, posh choc etc in them and this is my choice of headwear :D:D:D

LMH that sounds like what I am trying to make for all my immediate family with little gifts in, plus trying to make biscuits, very nice!

Yesterday was NSD 3 - went to T£sco £xpress after concert as my friend poorly sick and wanted bread so she could try and hold some toast down after but she paid. And due to whoopsies near till we managed between us to get 3 loaves of bread, 6 buns and a galaxy bar for 76p!!!! But couldn't get clubcard points as not over a £ :rotfl: 3p for a loaf of bread!!! Was some major reshuffling in the freezer when I got home to freeze my loaf!
