Yeah, basically an extortion scam- they will ask for money for 'fees' etc before they can 'release your prize'. Also you are giving all your personal details to criminals who can then do with it what they will. I think some of these scams will just be small time and try and get 50 quid off you or whatever as 'upfront fees' or 'prize insurance' or some such nonsense, others will ask for your bank details and stuff - basically working the same way as those Nigerian 419 scams:
