VTech Rocking Chair win from Potteries (advice please)

Hi
I've just received a winning email from the Potteries for the above prize.
Thanks to Lakshmi7 for posting

The email has told me to come and collect it but the Potteries is in Stoke-On-Trent and I'm in Edinburgh so not really ideal!
I normally check the T&C's for comps from shopping centres outwith my area but don't recall any specific ones for this comp so just really wondering what I should do?
This was the comp

  • Could you contact them and ask them if they would be prepared to post it out or offer to cover the postage for them?
  • I'd ask them if they are able to have it delivered to you, or if you can arrange delivery yourself (if you are willing to pay for a courier to collect it from them).

Good luck with getting your prize.

This comp was posted with a note that last year they agreed to post items to some of the further away winners so fingers crossed for you x
It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

Lady from The potteries just called me because she noticed I was from Edinburgh.
Not willing to post the toy out and it does state in the T&C's (very last one!) that they have to be collected.
Had to tell her to draw another name out! :(
gutted but my own fault I suppose for not checking the terms properly!
Hopefully one of guys wins it

Oh what a shame!!!! I hope the comping fairy brings you something lovely to make up for it xxxx
Thanks to all the comp posters, you are brilliant! :T
  • Oh, that's awful :( I'm surprised they wouldn't post it with it being a kids toy and so close to Christmas too. I can see it from their point of view too but I know how it feels to think you have won something then know you wont get it. You've won at least once so there'll probably be something along with your name on soon. Good Luck xxx

Wish I had seen this earlier but been at work. Its only 5 mins from my house so if anyone else wins anything that needs collecting from the Potteries Shopping Centre I would be willing to pick it up providing its not going to cost me a fortune to post to you
