Just listening to him live now.
Blaming inflation on the the current government. Who initiated QE? Who ran deficits? (both inflationary policies)
Thinks that the additional Tory cut in spending has contributed to an additional borrowing of £100bn over the next 5 years.
OMG how can anyone trust these muppets?

And now he talks about value for money.
You couldn't make this up...0 -
We should ban government debt longer than term of office.
That way, we would never hear from him again.0 -

Unfortunately I think the Tories have done enough in the Autumn statement to ensure they wont be re-elected for another term. God help us when labour get back in.0 -

Yes everyone was to blame for this ... as long as the good times rolled they were all happy to ignore the signs... nothing ever changes..0

The Labour Party were right. All the coalition have done is rack up vast amounts of debt and put millions on the dole.
Who knew? Well the following are just a few....

Useless Tories.
I feel sorry for you Wookster having to be a cheerleader for the government. At least one of the coalition needs to read an economics text book......If you keep doing what you've always done - you will keep getting what you've always got.0 -

Mind you we are paying less to borrow than Germany, so someone thinks we're on the right track.
And actually there are not millions more on the dole under the coalition. Unemployment has increased only marginally from the levels it reached under Labour.
The big issue that's prevented the recovery here is the debt crisis in Europe, which is essentially countries behaving as Balls would have us behave - ignore the debt and carry on spending. This is gradually being sorted out, but it's pretty dumb to suggest we do that here. Once we have growth and spending reductions cut in properly we'll be in a better position than we would have been otherwise. You can't unfortunately dig yourself painlessly out of this sort of situation, and claiming you can is disingenous.0 -

Oh stop talking nonsense. The Confederation of British Industry is 100% behind the austerity measures, which has over 240,000 businesses as members. And Labour would have implemented similar austerity if they had got into power despite their opposition to every cut the government does.Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0
