If the doors in your house are nice and plain and flat, take one of them off, put it on top of your table and cover with a large cloth or single bed sheet (no-one will ever know!) remember to take the handle off tho'!!
  • what shape is your table?
do you have a pasting table or patio table you could add on the end?
    cover all with tablecloths

Doors, a large piece of wood (make sure you can try to clamp it on some how don' t want the table flying when someone leans on one end), a garden table put along side, a decorating table. O am sure there is something in your house you could use or buy a large piece of wood to go over it and keep for other occasions.
Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.
  • The table is oval, I do have a paste table but wouldn't like to put much weight on it. Our doors do just lift off that could be an idea but they are quite heavy. Thanks for replay.

Just make sure you put a blanket, fleece or something under the door to protect the table top. ☺

If some are children could you have a separate children's table decorated just for them. It wouldn't need to match or be level with the other one if you could.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....
