Faulty Product - Shop changed hands!

Hello,
Does anyone know the law regarding warranty if a shop has changed hands. Last year I bought a cot and matress from a local nursery equipment shop, I am concerned about the mattress because it has become discoloured and doesn't look right to me. However the shop has just recently been sold, same name and products but it is just 'under new management'. Does anyone know where I stand? Thanks

First port of call would be to the shop and ask if they are honouring existing warranties, if not was it over £100. and paid by credit card? as the CC company are liable , if non of the above your local Trading Standards may give more advice, or what about contacting the manufacturers direct, I know they are not liable to you but some are alright and with the circumstances explained they might be accomodatingDon`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0
