I thought I would make a list of payday loan companies I have found to be understanding and helpful when your struggling to pay them back. But I must say that if you are struggling get in contact with them ASAP and most if not all I will list will put your account on hold and stop any charges and interest.
Wonga - put my account on hold for 38 days until their hardship team agreed to my offer of £12.56 per month. Amount owed £1156 and all interest stopped.
Mr Lender - agreed to payment of £4.56 per month with all interest stopped. Amount owed £450
Quick Quid - agreed toi payment of £6 per month with all interest stopped. Amount owed £350
Money Shop - agreed to payment of £7.46 per mont after an initial one off £250 charge all interest stopped. Amount owed £950
TXT Loan - offered £3.50 per month after inital £75 charge. Amount owed £195
All these lenders realise that times are hard and they understand your situation but only if you tell them.
I also have debt with lloyds tsb on an overdraft, loan and credit card and it was the bank that told me about payplan and this website.
I also have debt with vanquis credit card and they were very understanding too.
Two of my other creditors are not being helpful though which are uncle buck and cheque centre.
My advice again is dont bury your head in the sand especially with pay day loans most will be ok with you if your honest and upfront about your situation.

One thing to note with the payday lenders is I hope your getting what ever gets agreed in writing whether that be through Payplan ?
They have a nasty habit it would seem for agreeing one thing and sometimes doing another...
I had one company only write confirming the monthly payment amount - got a nasty shock when I thought I was making a final payment0 -
Wow, guys I feel on top of the world right now. I have taken all advice available from this site and forums and I bit the bullet and contacted PayPlan. Today I have opened a new cash acount (Co-Op), cancelled my Debit Card and spoken to all my creditors.
I now have systems in place to deal with my debt, and it seems possible! Unlike last week when, and I'm not embarrassed to admit, I cried my way through my bank statements and demands and felt like there was no hope at all and I was going to lose my home, family and job.
Don't get me wrong, I am under no illusions that this is only the start of a long and probably painful journey, but that twinkle of light at the end of the tunnel seems to glow so bright now!
Thanks everyone for all your support...

Its nice to know there are some understanding companies out there. I have just emailed wonga to see if I can pay back in installments. The reason being I owe more than I am actually paid ! I am so annoyed I even went to them in the first place but I am so stressed now about this impending payment. I hope they will understand and come to an agreement.0

Cottonhead,
Don't fret. I am in a similar situation in that I owe Wonga more than I actually get paid. It's certainly frightening stuff and I was worried stiff. But don't worry. I spoke to them on the phone and they seemed very accommodating. I explained in no uncertain terms that I do not have the funds and proved that I was proactively working to ensure they DO get their money eventually, but only once I have spoken to all my creditors and come to an arrangement with everyone.
Wonga said that this is fine and they have frozen the interest on my account for a month until I get back to them with a payment plan. I think the key with Wonga is stressing that you do intend on ensuring they get there money, not simply spouting off "I don't have the funds so I can't pay you".
I would suggest phoning PayPlan and having a chat with them. I cannot rate them enough and they will make you feel a shedload better!
Best of luck and keep us posted at how you get on.
