Button bouquets ideas please

Hi Brides
I am currently making a button bouquet for myself and my teenage BM. I have completed the BM's bouquet in purple and lilac buttons and i just have to put it all together and ribbon it now.
For my bouquet i have had friends and family donate all their old cream coloured buttons. I have had them given me from all over the world and it has become really special and a perfect keepsake for after the occassion.
So my research question is this: What colour BM outfits are you having??
The reason i ask is that a local pre owned wedding gown shop has asked me to make a sample of my button bouquet for them to display. I would like to make a cream 'Bridal' one and a smaller coloured one that is suitable for a BM. What colour is popular do you think? What would you, as brides, like to see? Also i suppose the age of the BM needs to be taken into consideration.
Thanks in advance for your ideas and opinions xx

I've noticed cadbury purple is very popular on here. We're having burgundy, I have also been to a few wedding which have had burgundy colour scheme.
I do like the idea of button bouquets, you could ppossibly do a brides, bridesmaids and a flower girl one so people have a perspective of the differences.
Besides that I'm not really much help, sorry.0 -
I think it depends on the time if year... I am an autumn bride, an my bridesmaids are wearing a burnt orange dress. There are a few of us with an autumn theme on the October board.:T0

I reckon ask the shop? Also not sure if you know this already, you can dye buttons, it is really easy!0

I'm having white!
As you are doing a cream one already why not do a more fashionable colour scheme? Maybe pinks and reds? Then you can give people different ideas.

That will look lovely. My friend had apples with holes cut out of the top and tealights popped in on the table. They looked great. Also one of my favourtie artha stewart cakes is the uniced one with golden apples on the top!

I know I know, but its is a stunning building - so don't want to be responsible for burning it down. :rotfl:
Trouble is it would look stunning with some lovely candlelabra (???)in the evening.

Nice ideas ladies thank you. I think I should make one with really bright contrasting colours to show what a focal point they can be. My wedding theme is going to be Buttons. I have added brooches in my own as well so i may add the odd one into the sample to show what can be achieved.
I had no idea you could dye buttons - I will have to look this up as i have hundreds of mixed colour buttons that are sat doing nothing at the moment as i have only used creams and purples for mine! If you know how i would love to know.
I will try and add some links later when i get home as i do have some of my BM bouquet on Photobucket (i think) but i have none of mine as i haven't put it all together properly but i could post a picture of it in the making!!!!0
