Part time and holiday - how to work out?

How do you work out holiday for part time?

Full time at 35 hours over 5 days (mon-fri) is 25 days holiday

Part time role is 25 hours but over 5 days (mon-fri)

How would it be calculated as although it's less hours it's still over the same amount of days.

Thanks

    You still get 25 days.

    Full time holiday = 7 hours a day * 25 days = 175 hours

    Part time = 5/7 * 175 hours = 125 hours = the 5 hours you work a day = 25 days
Excuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard
  • It only starts to get fiddly if you do different hours on different days, but assuming it's 5 hours a day, as the above post says, it works in exactly the same way as full time. You get 28 of your 'days' off per year, the fact that your day is 5 hours makes no difference.

Assuming the days are all the same length, e.g. 10-3 Mon-Fri. If the days are variable in length then you'd need to calculate it on 125 hours a year.
  • Thanks all, yes it would be 08.00-13.00 each day over the 5 days.

I wasn't sure as most part-time are calculated differently.
