    Morning All,
Hope you doing well. I've paid a couple of minimum payments today and also zeroed my account from last month and paid that too. £305.47 all together but it won't be that amount paid off, due to interest but it's great to start the month and the year seeing the totals going down.
    Have a great day.

jwil could you please change my amount to be paid off this year to 24732.63 I'm just going to concentrate on the credit cards as we are paying off the loan to our friend monthly and that will take more than a year.
    Thanks
  • im going to give this a go this year...

I have a £106k ish mortgage to pay off (30 year) but i want to try and half it (15yrs).

so, normal mortgage payment = £523, extra payment per month = £500...
so i want to try and pay off £6k extra this year.

    Payment made on 03/1/2012 - £500
    Mortgage free wannabe!
    Total mortgage = £106k
    Monthly payments = £523
    Extra monthly Payments = £500
    Total extra paid in 2012 = £500

Count me in this year too. For the past 2 years I've been reducing my debt by £500 a month too, so my target is also £6000 for 2012.

Welcome steerpiker, good luck with the debtbusting :)
Hi. I'm new to all this but would like to join in. Not really sure what to do but I would like to pay of £5,500 in 2012.

    Thanks

Welcome uncontrollablespender, I've got your target so you just need to update periodically with how much you've paid off. As often as you need to is fine - some people post every time they make a payment, others post once a month or so with a new total. Either is fine. :)
