Jwil, I would love to get rid of the last bit this year but we will see, I am going on holiday for a week in Nov and I do spend a bit more now so its that fine line between paying debt and living!! I certainly want rid by Feb 2013 at the latest as that is when I go to hospital again to make sure Im still fine and I think its quite fitting that I will be debt free then. A good omen if you like!!

Well done everyone. I'm hoping to knock the debt on the head this month - very exciting! It's not quite all it seems as my husband has a student loan and also a credit card with about £1300 on it that we'll now clear together, but I think we'll take that really slowly over the next year or so, and put our spare money into saving for maternity leave.

Hi sarah thats great and good planning for saving for maternity leave best to have a sensible approach my update ... sorry its late :P total paid off £8334.09 and im under 40k yippeeee unless i have a windfall before now and xmas looks like il be with you guys next year but at least its shrinking and thats what counts
