Thanks for the updates guys.
Just a small request - if you want your payment added to the front page, could you please also post a total paid so far.
So, for example, if you've paid £10 today, and £100 total previously, then just pop a total in eg: paid £10 today, total paid now £110
It just makes it much clearer for me, and stops any confusion (I am easily confused).

£7873.87 of this is debt, and the extra will be put in my savings account.
Have made a token payment of £1, so I am off the mark

Good to have you on here jacci, it's all down to your own hard work, you've been a star on the 2011 thread! :A"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
Well I've hit the tracks with a huge payment of £1.72. I'm still in the 2011 challenge, but this debt isn't counting as part of that, so I'll start this off on the 2012 one!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0

Hi and well done to everyone already paying off towards their debts and of course those still on the 2011 challenge.:T
Mine's going to be a bad start that's for sure. I start my new job at the start of Jan but need to get a few things before I start as the company don't provide protective clothing . Then of course once I start I have to get there and pay for childcare up front. And as always seems to happen to me I start just after payday so will have to wait 3 and a half weeks until I get paid . So...that means no overpayments on anything until the end of Jan at the earliest.Clean credit file:12 mthsCar loan: FREE! :jTHE PLAN: 1.Pay off debt £8808.42(£3254.45, £1570.32, £2698.33, £0:dance:, £1000, £285.32) 2.Save monthly for Christmas/insurance etc £150 per month 3.Save for emergencies /£1500 4.Save for our B&B £????depends which one takes our fancy0 -

Shame you've got to buy stuff for a new job, especially protective clothing! I expect quite a few people won't start until mid-late january, it's annoying though when you are itching to get on isn't it!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
DH has just kindly mentioned that he put £250 on one of the credit cards yesterday!!!!
At least it's expensable and we are doing expenses tomorrow...but still.....I think having a partner not on the same page financially is going to be my biggest problem this year.0 -

I know what you mean Frankie. My DH, bless him, has no clue about debt etc. He's never been in this position before. Him and his ex were both earning a decent amount each, small mortgage, no kids, so never had to save for anything or use credit as they could afford to pay cash. However we're in a totally different boat. 3 redundancies between us later, he's in a crappily paid job, I'm about to start a crappily paid job, 3 kids, rent to pay, and just about enough money coming in to cover the outgoings (that's before I start this job) he doesn't get that if we want anything we need to save for it and that ay debts preferably need overpaying to clear them asap. Not his fault, I just need to train him, but it's proving very difficult.Clean credit file:12 mthsCar loan: FREE! :jTHE PLAN: 1.Pay off debt £8808.42(£3254.45, £1570.32, £2698.33, £0:dance:, £1000, £285.32) 2.Save monthly for Christmas/insurance etc £150 per month 3.Save for emergencies /£1500 4.Save for our B&B £????depends which one takes our fancy0 -
waanabehermit I'm glad it's not just me...frustrates the hell out of me...
Have paid off £50 today.
I'm waiting for some payments from Amazon for textbooks I've sold and DH has given me his share for some presents that I bought for Christmas. Not sure whether I'll need that, so will wait till later in the month to decide whether to pay it off or not.
Apart from that, I think that will be all my payments for this month....except for the expenses that I'm going to be doing today...wish me luck. I'm may be some time0
