One of my dogs got hold of the butter dish, ate the lot and then threw up all over the carpet.
I cleaned it all up and have used bicarb sprinkled over then hoovered, vanish and now 1001 ultra but there is still a stain and its going darker.
Is there anything else i can try?

Found this might helpOn upholstery and carpets, use an absorbent powder treatment (cornstarch is worth a try), followed by a shampoo with liquid detergent, such as a Carpet/Rug Shampoo, a good quality laundry liquid or Quilt/Wool Wash. Avoid wetting backing of carpet or fabric, or discoloration occurs. Do not use petroleum solvents, or dry cleaning fluid on carpets or fabrics with rubberized backing.
Absorbent powders can also include talc which I have used on fat stans on clothes before but not the carpetOne day I might be more organised...........

If you know anyone with a steam cleaner this will probably shift it.
Another thing you can try is placing an old towel over the stain & iron over it. Be careful not to let the iron come into contact with the carpet. This should absorb any remaining grease. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Brown paper works for me, with a warm (let it heat to its lowest setting then unplug) iron, iron over the area the heat will draw the fat up into the paper.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0
