i think it's entertaining that some people actually believe that if the govt just borrowed and spend another £10 billion quid, suddenly the UK would magically generate growth in excess of that spending and would enter a new phase of the miracle economy.
the labour party tried this throughout basically the whole of the last government, but all that happened is that debt increased faster than GDP.
which countries have successfully bucked the global trend using economic stimulus?0
