Thanks Aesop. My little ones are 7 & almost 2.

I am sure there is something about you having to have money because you have a child under 5. TC should keep paying the child element regardless.

    this might help.

Yay! First Direct have refunded overdraft arrangement fee of £25. As it had already come out of last month's money, I get to send the £25 to savings and count it in my total :)

I'm also counting £5 due to working from home yesterday as there was no bus fare and no lunch costs. It was a NSD of sorts, although I dread to think how much it cost to heat the house all day :p
I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.

    Hi everyone

Cold with snow here today.....BBBBBBBRRRRR...................have to head out to post ebay parcels. Looking forward to having a break in January from all selling. I normally do this and by the middle of the month I am itching to get going again.:):):)

Just checked my online banking, I set up a new account with another bank so they offered a free switching service. I left it with them and 3 months later all is stil not ok! They 'forgot' to rearrange 2 standing orders so they are still trying to come out of my old account, one came out my old account AND new account so paid twice this month, then the other as returned as there wasnt enough funds. Lucky really as I had to manually pay it from my new acount even though there is an arrangement set up. So annoying so I'll have to fight my corner for the unpaid fees :(
On a happier note I've just been looking through my spam folder and I won an ITV competition! Sadly, it was a runners up prize-a £40 nivea gift set, yay! Also, yesterday I won superhero hairbrushes from Loreal...a christmas present I reckon!

  • Realised I'd reached the payout threshold for my survey for the first time, so have ordered £3 through paypal:j. That was quite quick for maybe a week and a half of actually responding to surveys.

p-l-m-b-l hope they sort you out quickly. I think I remember there being special (low or no interest) loans through the benefit office you can get whilst you wait for all the paperwork to go through if you need the money now to cover bills. I don't remember any of the details but it might be worth asking them and seeing if there is anything available to keep the cash flowing until the incapacity is all approved.
