Hi there MSE team :(,

I got a letter through the post today saying that i owe Telefonica (O2) in the UK a amount of £225.34, i called up O2 regarding this and they are telling me that i owe them £119 pounds and would happily remove those charges since I have cancelled the deal previously, but then they say they have sent it to Moorcroft (What does that mean?!). I'm not trying to put a excuse on here but for one i cannot afford to pay, i'm disabled with no income and i feel like crying!!

Help, please.

Do you owe them the money (is it your account?)

If so, how old is it and when did you last pay?

Forgot to say, Moorcroft are a debt collection agency, so either O2 sold the debt to them or as they are willing to take payment themselves, they are likely collecting on behalf of O2.
