Bank Account Charges for Account Never Used!

Hi,
I applied for Princes Trust business funding a few years ago and as part of the application process I had to set up a Business Account, we were recomended the free Barclays Business Account - I now find out that the small print was that it was free for the first year (I know, I know, I was a moron).
Without knowing it, I have a debt of over £2k for an account that I've barely ever touched. Barclays are now asking me to take out a loan (with them) to pay it off, given that this will have been in the small print somewhere, plus T&Cs updated after the government ruling a couple of years ago, is there any chance I can get out of this?
Many thanks,
F

How has it got to over £2k? I had a business account with Barclays and if I remember rightly, the fee was only about £4.95 per month after the free first year.
You must have been using the account for issuing and receiving payments, and been overdrawn - all of which are charged for. Also they charge for online usage."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". If it's in the T&C's, I don't see how you can get out of it.0
