help i want to buy a second hand static caravan in the north coast

Hi guys i was wondering if anyone can give me advice. I have scoured the internet for info and have literally found nothing. I want to buy a second hand static caravan this summer coming. would prefer the north coast, portrush, portstewart, castlerock or benone. i was wondering if anyone could recommend a caravan park that doesn't make you upgrade your caravan when its 10 years old as i've heard this can be a problem. if i'm buying a second hand one it wouldn't give me much time before having to renew it. i would also appreciate it if anyone knows the site fees of various parks.

Try Golden sands at Benone . site frees are in the region of £1100 ish per year ....

Agree with Bobs, Golden sands are the cheapest around and they are not as strict on changing your van every few years.

We had a van in Castlerock for many years untill the price drove us away, not sure what they charge now. My sister in law bought one in Castlerock for £10,000 kept it for two years and only got £2500 selling it back. So please beware, you wont get any bargains from site owners and most won't let you buy private. Castlerock was handy for the railway if you wanted to go to Port or Coleraine and it has a wee bit more in the way of shopping bars and cafes.

We now have a touring van and spend a lot of time in Benone due to the cheaper prices. I think most in Portrush charge around £1800 per year.

thanks guys, i love benone, i really love castlerock but i heard bad reports about the park.

Portrush was £1800 ish this year.... fees will increase again in 2012. Some parks only open April - September. You will need to bear this in mind.
